Students and Staff at The Junior Study, Udaipur welcomed their counterparts and partnering school teachers from Swansea, Wales, at their school today.

It has been a decade long association between The Junior Study and Gors Community school from Wales, wherein they have been successfully working through exchange programs where The Junior Study teachers travel to Wales every spring and their counterparts from Gors Community school come to Udaipur to learn more about India and to jointly teach a subject chosen by the British Council.  Comparing Food Culture between UK and India is the main agenda in this year’s exchange program.

The welcome show commenced with a beautiful dance performance followed by amazing Taekwondo tricks and Yoga performances.  After the Yoga performance, the Principal of Gors Community School, Keith Atkins gave a speech and distributed prizes to the winners of the Sports Day that was held three weeks ago.

Principal of Gors, Ann Chapman along with Nicholas Wilson and Marion Jones from Gors Community School expressed their joy of having a chance to work together with the Junior Study and being able to learn so much about the Indian culture and school system.  They also said that they are already looking forward to welcoming their Indian friends to their school in Wales in May.
