The crowd jumped in joy and excitement was palpable as soon as the name of Milkha Singh was announced as the Chief Guest in the joint annual function of MMPS and MMVM schools at Shikarbadi.

Padma Shree Milkha Singh, also known as ‘Flying Sikh’, was whole heartedly welcomed by the audience that included students, parents and teachers of the schools.

Milkha Singh said, ‘I will feel that my visit to Udaipur is successful only if my presence can ignite spark in even one student to become Milkha Singh’.

Singh turned emotional after seeing few scenes of the film Bhaag Milkha Milkha that was shown on a big screen today. While addressing the students, Milkha Singh, shared the struggles that he faced and how some people have affected his thoughts.

In the cultural program, students presented some mesmerizing musical and dance performances.

Ali Abbas Larji, student of class 12^th was awarded as Best Student while Yash Joshi was awarded as Best All Rounder. Tagore House of MMPS and Nanak House of MMVM were also honored.
