Following the start of new academic session at Central Public School (CPS) today, the new students of nursery class wrote the first alphabet of their life in a customary ceremony held in the school. The ceremony is called “First Letter Ceremony”.

The ceremony was conducted in the presence of parents. Alka Sharma, Director of the school made children write their first alphabet by holding their hands. Hawan was also conducted by parents of the students.

While describing the significance of the day, Alka Sharma said that, “there are many things which happen for the first time in a child’s life viz. first smile, speaking first words, first step etc. These can be preserved as memories.” She also said that when something is taught with love, child will never fear that.

Teachers of CPS Junior and parents of 80 students were present on the occasion.
