Every children party needs a bunch of games to make the party more enjoyable, lively and entertaining. It has been always difficult for us to choose the right and unique games. Here is a list of games that your kids and their friends can play at the party.

Dance till you drop

Get the children to dance to the music. When the music stops, all the children have to sit down as quickly as possible. The last one to sit is out. The last child left dancing is the winner.

Balloon Sandwich

First make pairs, and then line up the kids facing back to back over the starting line. Next, place a balloon between their backs, so they must hold it there tightly. Ask them not to touch the balloon with their hands and it should not fall on the ground, or else they will be disqualified. Now, blow a whistle so the pairs can take off from their position, shuffling their way towards the finish line. Whoever reaches the finish line first, wins the game.

Memory time

Put some dissimilar and obvious items on a tray. Give each child a pen and piece of paper. Let them look at the tray for a minute, then take the tray away. The children have to write down what was on the tray. The one with the most right answers is the winner. Variations: simply take one thing away at a time, show the tray to the group, and let them call out what’s missing.

Guess with a spoon

Give two wooden spoons to the player and blindfold him/her. Next, call up two- three kids and let them be identified by the one who is blindfolded, by touching their friends with wooden spoons. Make sure not to get poked! Play in turns.

Newspaper Sumo

Place a piece of open newspaper and let the players push out their opponent off the paper with a rear end. The players should stand on opposite edges, with their backs to each other. The first player off the paper loses. The game will continue with the winners of each game and the last one to stick/staying on the newspaper wins.

Scavenger Hunt

Write a list of items, around 10 to 15 objects that can easily be found in a room. Such as; plastic bowls toothpaste or bottles. Give the kids two minutes to find everything listed. Whoever comes up with most of the items within the time given, wins the game.

Simon says

Mum or helper says “Simon says” jump on one foot, clap your hands, run round in circles, jump up and down etc, the list is endless. You can play this game so many different ways. Eliminate anyone who is slow to react, so you end up with just one winner.

Passing the parcel

Make a parcel by wrapping up a prize in several layers of paper, one for each child, plus an extra. Ask the children to sit in a circle, give one of them the parcel and when the music starts, get them to hand it over to the next child, who hands it on, and on. When the music stops, the child who is holding the parcel opens the first layer. Then when the music starts again, they hand it on to the next child, and so on. Wrap the final present in something obvious so that you know which will be the last round. You can put a sweet or a little something in each layer of wrapping. Then the last one with the prize in can be random.

Lion Lion

Kids sit in a circle on the floor. The lion, tucks a homemade tail that is a piece of fabric with a knot in one end into the waist. The lion begins circling the group, touching each child on the head and saying “Lion.” When he decides he wants some action, he touches a player on the head and shouts “Hyena!” The lion then must hurry around the circle and take the hyena’s spot before the hyena can grab the lion’s tail. If his tail is snatched, he remains the lion, if he sits where the hyena was without losing his tail and the hyena becomes the new lion.

Jelly Eater

Make individual bowls of jelly with an animal inside. Then make each child put their hands behind their backs, and get the animal out of the jelly. The first one to produce their animal is the winner.
