Remembering Bapu: Apostle of Peace & Non Violence

To mark the importance of Gandhiji’s policies of peace and non violence, his influential movements like ‘Dandi March’ and ‘Satyagraha,’ Bapu’s philosophy of honesty & truth, Seedling Modern Public School celebrated 147th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi “The Father of Nation” with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.

On this occasion students remembered and saluted two great leaders and patriots of India namely Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatma Gandhi and took an oath to follow their philosophies of truthfulness, love, courage & sacrifice for serving humanity.

The little tots of class IV presented an informative dance-drama conveying the message of ‘Communalism and Unity in Diversity’ with great diligence and precision. The students of grade V and VI presented melodious bhajans and songs with lyrics ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’, De di hame aazadadi bina khadag’.

Charvi Bansal of grade VIII presented a talk highlighting the policies & great contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in reforming India.

On the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, CBSE announced Expression Series on 2nd October, 2015. Seedling Modern Public School took active participation in the same and miscellaneous activities were conducted in the school at different class levels.

Students took part in drawing, essay writing, self composed poems & thoughts depicting Mahatma Gandhi, his policies and philosophy of life. The best entries were uploaded on CBSE site.

At last the principal Keerti Maken delivered a speech and presented Gandhiji as a model, capable of giving moral and spiritual strength to students to change their environment in which they can fulfill their aspirations and realize their dreams.
