Seedling Cambridge get a glimpse of Udaipur on Tourism Day
Seedling's Cambridge students' celebrated World Tourism Day by enjoying a City tour of Udaipur, also known as Venice of East. They started their journey at 10.00am beginning their tour with a visit to Pichola Lake, Dudh Talai and Gulab Bagh where they enjoyed the toy train ride and interacted with Lokesh Diwedi, Deputy Mayor of Udaipur
World tourism day is celebrated on 27th September and its purpose is to foster awareness among International community on the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value.
Seedling’s Cambridge students’ celebrated World Tourism Day by enjoying a City tour of Udaipur, also known as Venice of East. They started their journey at 10.00am beginning their tour with a visit to Pichola Lake, Dudh Talai and Gulab Bagh where they enjoyed the toy train ride and interacted with Lokesh Diwedi, Deputy Mayor of Udaipur.
A motor boat ride from one end of the Fateh Sagar Lake to Nehru Park was another exciting experience. After a hearty lunch, the students continued their sight seeing.
A visit to Pratap Samark proved to be very informative . The students learnt about the battle of Haldi Ghati fought by Maharana Pratap against the Mughal King Akbar and also saw the statues of other Rajput kings and spiritual leaders.
At the Rajeev Gandhi Park they saw the habitats of various animals like the Penguin, walrus ,lion etc and had fun on the swings, slides and monkey ladders. In the end they visited Saheliyon Ki Bari and Sukhdiya Circle. It was a fun filled and an educational visit for the Cambridge students.
