Noted exponent of Mohiniaattam, Mandakini Trivedi performed at Seedling Modern Public School, Udaipur today.  This event was done in joint association with SPIC MACAY, who endeavour to organise performances by noted artists for students to keep them connected to the traditions and increase their awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage.

Mandakini was accompanied by Aneri, her student, in all the performances.  Kalasri and KNP Nanibisan on Edakya & Maddalm; K.S Jayan on vocals and Rajat Prasanna on Flute. Artists were welcomed  by Director of Seedling, Hardeep Bakshi and Principal Keerti Maken.

Lighting of the lamp was accompanied by a beautiful chant of Lord Ganesha, the rendition being done by K.S Jayan. This was followed by students applying tilak and welcoming artists by presenting a token of affection and gratitude by Hardeep Bakshi. Students and teachers witnessed a wonderful spell binding performance that included basic hand and body movements of Mohiniattam. Artists received a standing ovation for their pulsating, dynamic and yet deeply graceful, feminine and tender art form – MOHINIATTAM.
