On the esteemed occasion of completion of 60 years of service in the field of education, St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School celebrated its diamond jubilee with a 4-day seminar on “Quality Education and Children’s Development”.

The seminar was inaugurated on 16^th April by school Principal Fr. George V.J. In his address to the students and parents he informed about the objective of seminar and role of both school and parents in building the personality of a child.

Fr. George said that in 21^st century a student gets affected with parents, teachers, friends and media.

Keynote speaker Fr. Norbert Menezes, educationist and in charge of Jesuit Schools of Education, South Asia shared his expert knowledge and experiences with teachers and parents, he dedicated three parts of his speech to students, parents and teachers respectively.

Fr. Norbert discussed on several issues with parents and informed them about the new media trends and its effects. While he asked parents to be cautious, he also asked teachers to make their training strategies interesting for their own self.

Tomorrow on the last day of seminar, the discussions of all three days will be summarized and brain storming sessions will be held for psychological education, roles of parents and teachers and academic curriculum as well as teaching methodologies will be conversed.
