Today is a special day for all the Indians as we mark the occasion of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, “Father of our Nation.” October 2^nd is also the birth anniversary of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, a freedom fighter and our beloved second Prime Minister. Both the two great heroes born on this day dedicated their lives to the larger cause of the nation. 

The Junior Study children prepared a lovely show to celebrate the Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti. After lighting the lamp, poems were recited and speeches were made. A choir sang a song dedicated to Gandhiji. Class IV played a funny skit which brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
