The Study conducts Gujarat Trip for students
A trip to Ahmadabad, Sasan (Gir) and Somnath Temple was organized for the students of classes V to VIII of The Study from 9th to 12th Jan.
A trip to Ahmadabad, Sasan (Gir) and Somnath Temple was organized for the students of classes V to VIII of The Study from 9th to 12th Jan.
In Ahmadabad the students visited Adalaj Vav a 15th Century step well, they were mesmerized by the beautiful stone carving and learnt the importance of our heritage.
Students also visited Science City, there they virtually experienced the working of underground coal mine and they also experienced what actually happens during an earthquake. They saw a 3D movie on dinosaurs.
Sasan, Gir was a unique experience for them. They stayed in a beautiful Vanvaso Resort, which built on the banks of the Hiran River, a lifeline of Gir Forest. Students went for a short trek in the evening. During the trek the students were told about the wildlife and vegetation of the area and their importance in the ecosystem. Students were shown various birds such as grey heron, pied kingfisher, green bee eater, great tit, small minivet, parakeets, rufuos treepie, etc. In the evening students enjoyed Dhamal dance with local tribe.
Next day Students were taken to Devalia Safari. During the safari the students saw lions, leopards, blackbuck, spotted dear, jackal etc. Students were taken to a small village to interact with the rural people so that they can learn about their living, students asked various questions related to their day to day life. Later in the afternoon the students visited Somnath Temple, on the way visited a jagerry making unit.
