Let’s salute the Nation on this auspicious day.

70th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at WIS. To commemorate the sovereignty of our Nation, Director Hemant Paliwal, in the presence of Principal Shubha Govil and Manager Coordination Manju Rana unfurled the Tricolor. This was followed by recitation of the National Anthem and expression of joy of our freedom.

The Head boy shared his views on the significance of the day. The Witty Choir sang a Patriotic Song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Motherland.

The programme continued with scintillating dance performances by the students. A skit was presented by Grade- XI and XII students who gave us a message that despite Corruption, Bribery and Eve Teasing, there are people who are fighting as freedom fighters to save our Nation.

The Programme concluded with Vote of Thanks by Head Girl Hinica Badola.

Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect for our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the Freedom, Peace and Unity in diversity.
