The Quit- India movement was a civil disobedience movement which started in India on august 9, 1942 by Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi.
To commemorate the sacrifices of our great freedom fighters Wittians took an initiative to pay homage to them through special assembly which commenced with an informative speech. The programme continued with a patriotic dance followed by a skit-that portrayed a historical incident. Principal Shubha Govil praised the students for their efforts and encouraged them to work for the integrity of the nation.
Students also remembered Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev who threw a bomb on legislative assembly to revolt against Britishers.
