Witty International School, Udaipur celebrated its 8th Annual Day for the Junior Wing on Friday, 12 January amidst great zest, vibration and elation.
The program commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest Rahul Bhatnagar, Chief Conservator of Forest, Wildlife, Udaipur, Chittor and Rajsamand escorted by other dignitaries, viz. N.C. Dangi, District Education Officer (DEO, Udaipur), Dr. Sujan Singh – an educationist and Vice President of Scout and Guide Rajasthan and Mamta Dhupia – President, Rotary Club Meera.
This entailed the welcome of eminent guests by a melodious welcome song. The Annual report of the school’s achievements and accolades was put by group of students through a mock parliament termed as Witty News. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony to felicitate meritorious students in academics and extra curricular activities. Principal Shubha Govil addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of parents in ensuring that their children are confident and have the right values.
Cultural program based on theme, “Make in India” continued with a scintillating Welcome Dance. The students dressed in colourful attire staged brilliant performances expressing the rich culture and heritage of India. The dances ranged across a broad gamut of Bhangra, Folk, classical, Hip-Hop among others, which set the stage on fire. The theme of the session was that of the journey of Aladdin and his friends throughout the nation.
Trustee and Managing Director Vinay Jain emphasized on the need for organising such functions as they bring out the inner potential and innate qualities of each and every student. The culmination of the function was marked by the grand Finale. Headmistress, Joyce Rodrigues applauded the efforts put in by the entire Witty family.
