In this modern generation, everyone is into Social Media.  It has become an important part of everyone’s life.  Amazingly, even First Grade students have at least a little knowledge about Social Media.  Many students, especially teens use Social Media on a daily basis.  Social Media can be defined as a relationship between the network and people.

SOCIAL MEDIA has its advantages if some points are taken care of.  Firstly it should be used with control, especially for upcoming teens, as Social Media has many distinctive features and can be addictive.  Students hence get distracted from studies and their interaction level decreases.

Secondly, if cyber crime is controlled, as we all know hacking accounts these days is being increased and hence it causes a fear for some people to use Social Media so it cyber crime can be taken under control by some application, Social Media is very advantageous.

There are many other advantages that go with Social Media.

First, Online Marketing – it is very advantageous as public these days is starting to take more interest in online Markets rather than shopping in shops.  Hence it is a very nice opportunity to display ads on internet to increase business.

Second, we stay connected to people and long distance friends.  It is a human tendency that when we make new friends, we happen to forget our old friends, but with these means, we stay connected to them.  Third, we can use our skills and interest through these for example, if you are good in photography so by clicking pictures and posting them on Social Media, we can express our talent or make it a hobby for another person.  Fourth, we can create campaigns to spread awareness or a message.  Lastly it helps us to be familiar with the latest fashion trends, new inventions, technology and latest news as well as upcoming events.

By agreeing to all these points, I personally feel that I would prefer a world with Social Media because I feel there is a necessity for Social Media and a world without It would be no fun.  If all the negative points can be taken care of, I don’t think Social Media is harmful in any way.
