A student of class X at MMPS, Palash Dhakar has made a ‘Super Solar Car’ under a school project. The small but powerful car of Palash is prepared by using solar energy and a battery.
The idea came up after the continuous rise in petrol prices, Palash along with his project partner and classmate Ali Akbar decided to make a car powered by solar energy.
Explaining the process of making, Palash said, “We took a metal sheet and mounted motors on it with the help of clip and connected them in parallel connections. Then we attached wheels to the body and solar panel to the battery with the help of diode. Lastly, after joining wires of motors and battery to solar panel, the car is all ready to run.”

With passion of creating innovative stuffs, Palash transformed a bicycle into a bike when he was in V class, he used dynamo to light the head and tail lights.
When asked what he think about his project of Super Solar Car in coming years, Palash said “It is believed that by 2020 all the liquid fuels of India will be exhausted, then we will have to import fuel in more quantity that will result in price rise, then we all will be left with only solar energy so from now only we should the use of solar energy.”
Supported by his family, Palash says that his family has always boost his confidence in every project, “ To be specific, my mother inspired me the most and she was a constant companion in this creation” said Palash.
