Land regularization rates to go up in Udaipur

Udaipurites will have to soon shell out more money for regularization of their residential plots on government land. State Government has finalized rates paving way for regularization of residential colonies but these rates are higher than what they were fixed at five years back.

Udaipurites will have to soon shell out more money for regularization of their residential plots on government land. State Government has finalized rates paving way for regularization of residential colonies but these rates are higher than what they were fixed at five years back.

Urban Development Department (UDH) had last fixed rates for regularization on Sept 21, 2012 and these were valid till Apr 1, 2017. The regularization process was held up after April since rates were not valid.

Earlier, regularization rates were charged at 25% of the residential reserve price or Rs 1500 per square yard, whichever is higher. The rates have now been increased to 25% of the residential reserve price or Rs 2000 per square yard, whichever is higher.

For commercial plots, rates were charged at 25% of the commercial reserve price or Rs 5000 per square yard, whichever is higher. The rates have now been increased to 25% of the commercial reserve price or Rs 6500 per square yard, whichever is higher
