Dr Anand Gupta from Udaipur wins IMA Rajasthan president election 2027–28 with record votes; currently, he serves as president of IMA Udaipur and has held several important positions within the organisation
Udaipur, March 24, 2026 - Dr Anand Gupta, president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Udaipur, has been elected president of IMA Rajasthan for the term 2027-28 with a record number of votes. With Dr Gupta’s win, Udaipur has regained State-level leadership after three years. Previously, Dr Sunil Chugh had held this position.
Under Dr Gupta’s leadership, expectations are high for innovation and improved healthcare services in Rajasthan. His success is being seen as inspirational not only for Udaipur but for the entire medical community in the State.
Dr Gupta has been actively contributing to the medical field for over two decades. Through his leadership and innovative approach, he has significantly contributed to enhancing healthcare services in South Rajasthan.
Currently, he serves as president of IMA Udaipur and has held several important positions within the organisation - Secretary, Zonal Secretary (Udaipur Zone), Central Committee Member (IMA Headquarters), and Chairman and Coordinator of the IMA Medical Students Network (MSN).
Dr Gupta has received several national-level awards for his outstanding work, including IMA National Award 2024 for Best Branch among 1700+ branches, Best Local President Awards in 2023 and 2021 and Best Secretary National Award in 2012.
