Department of Medical and Health has issued orders to all CMHOs in Rajasthan to send information about registration status and unregistered labs by the fifth of every month
Udaipur, February 10, 2025 - Under the Clinical Establishment Act, all pathology labratories in Rajasthan will now have to obtain permanent registration. Department of Medical and Health has issued orders to all Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHOs) in the State informing them of this rule.
According to the instructions issued by the Director of Public Health, action will be taken against labs that do not obtain registration. The registrations will be carried out under the District Registration Authority.
Pathology lab operators will need to provide details about the facilities in their labs according to the standards specified in the revised notifications issued by the Central Government in 2018 and 2020, at the time of application.
After this, the authority will seek objections from the public within 30 days. Individuals wishing to raise objections must submit them in writing to the authority within the stipulated time.
All CMHOs have been instructed to send information about the registration status and unregistered labs to the Directorate by the fifth of every month.
