Theater owners and administration officers held a meeting under the supervision of District Collector Ashutosh A.T Pednekar on Thursday in context of the Children’s Film Festival that is going to be held from 6th to 15th January, 2015.
For the film festival, flexes and banners will be put up in the city and full support of administration is considered. The district collectorate himself gave ideas for the film festival. According to him, students can be provided with camera and a guide to create their own short films. Also, filmmakers can teach students about film-making and learn this art.
Pednekar also suggested creating a documentary of the entire film festival and he will talk to the concerned people. He mentioned that in each show, 400-500 students should be accompanied by 10 teachers to ensure their safety.
During the festival, the administration will project films through DVDs in schools situated in remote areas and also provide support for students coming from far.
In the meeting, owners of Picture Palace, Ashoka Cinema, PVR and INOX, ADM Chogaram Devasi and education department officials gave their suggestions. Administration will be broadcasting about the festival through Akashwani, FM and TV Channels.
