Taking their Padmavat movie ban demand to a do-or-die stage, Karni Sena members have now threatened that 1800 female members of the Kshatriya community have been contacted to perform Jauhar(self-immolation) if ban on the film is not stayed.

As per media reports, female members of Jauhari Kshatrani Manch had claimed that they will showcase what real Jauhar is if Padmavat is released. Reports suggest that the Jauhar will be organised by Karni Sena along with Sarv Samaaj Samiti. The threat is that Jauhar will be carried out one day before the movie release i.e on 24-Jan. The Jauhar, they threaten, will be carried out at the actual site of Jauhar in Chittorgarh.

A delegation of Karni Sena is expected to meet Rajnath Singh in Udaipur during his scheduled visit. The meeting is with the objective of getting him to stop screening of Padmavat across India.
