May 28, 2025 - Actress Deepika Padukone is in the news these days. She has been dropped from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Spirit for reportedly putting up some conditions in front of the producers, which Sandeep did not agree to. Now it is believed that the film has been given to actress Tripti Dimri. She will be seen romancing Prabhas in this movie.

According to a report by Telugu 360, Tripti is being paid Rs 4 crore for the film, which is about Rs 16 crore less than the fee Deepika had reportedly asked for. Deepika was said to have demanded more than Rs 20 crore.

Tripti's Role in the Film 

As per media reports, Tripti will be seen in a completely new and different look in this film. She will play the role of a doctor in Spirit.

Film Budget

Spirit is being made under the T-Series banner. It is a pan-India film and will be released in multiple languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam as well as international languages like Japanese, Chinese and Korean. Prabhas will be seen in a double role for the first time in his career - one as a hero and the other as a villain. The total budget of the film is said to be Rs 300 crore.

Director Blames Deepika?

On May 26, director Sandeep had posted a cryptic message on his X account criticising actors for using “dirty PR games” and breaking his trust. In his post, he wrote, “Putting down a younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for?”

More Plot Leaks 

Soon after Sandeep's post, more plot details from Spirit were leaked online. Bollywood Hungama revealed new information about Tripti’s role in the film. This led many social media users to allegedly believe that Deepika, or her team, might be leaking these details to harm the film's chances.
