One person has been arrested by Goverdhan Vilas police with 32 cartons of illegal liquor. There were 2 others who escaped into darkness. Police got information about illegal liquor in a blue coloured Baleno which was being taken to Ahmedabad. Lakshman Singh Rajput along with 2 others was taking this liquor to Ahmedabad. Police did a blockade at NH-8 near Kaya village. When Lakshman saw police at the check post, he turned the car away in order to escape. They were followed by police to some distance. The other 2 men rushed out of the car when they were stopped. They took advantage of darkness and escaped. Lakshman was arrested. There were 15 cartons of Party Special which were made in Haryana, 4 carton of McDowell No.1 whiskey made in Rajasthan, 12 cartons of Officer’s Choice and 1 carton of Bagpiper in the car.
