PM Surya Ghar Yojana Awareness Campaign in Udaipur
A solar energy awareness and registration booth has been set up at Celebration Mall in Udaipur as part of an Ajmer Discom initiative
UdaipurTimes, Nov 7, 2026 - A solar energy awareness and registration booth has been set up at Celebration Mall in Udaipur as part of an initiative launched by Ajmer Discom. This is in keeping with the campaign to connect more families with the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (free electricity scheme).
Udaipur Circle Superintending Engineer (SE) KR Meena, who inaugurated the booth, explained that it will provide the general public with information about the scheme, along with guidance and assistance in completing the registration process. Visitors will be able to learn about the scheme's eligibility criteria, application process and registration procedures.
The booth will remain operational until November 16.
The initiative has been undertaken jointly by the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, National Solar Energy Federation, Energiva Ventures, Shakti Sustainable Energy Federation and PwC.
