Syphon-Badgaon road to be widened, notice served to 100 building owners
UIT has issued 100 notices for the buildings falling in this specific area.

The road will be widened by 60 feet and all the encroachments in the periphery must be removed at the earliest. Anyone who has issues regarding this must approach UIT office.
UIT is planning to widen the Syphon-Badgaon road by 60 feet. As per the master plan, the road is 100 feet wide but the area faces traffic jam every day. In such circumstances, UIT has decided to widen the road by 60 feet.
The decision to widen this road was taken in a meeting on 26 February. The Syphon-Badgaon road connects various religious and tourist spots of the city and hence witnesses extreme traffic pressure and this is why it needs to be broadened.
A lot of buildings and shops fall in the periphery and as directed by the UIT Secretary Arun Hasija, 100 notices have been issued to the respective building owners to clear the encroached areas.
The UIT, has, however also requested building owners to present their objections with supporting papers to the UIT before 25 March.
