A world record has been created by an Indian jeweller who used 12,638 diamonds in creating a beautiful floral shaped ring. The ring weighs just a little over 165 grams.

The elaborate floral shaped ring has been named “The Marigold-The Ring of Prosperity” and the 25 year old creator has no plans of selling it yet. Harshit Bansal, the owner of Meerut’s Renani Jewels, is the creator of this ring and says that it is wearable and comfortable. Harshit has described his audacious creation as his dream project, the idea of which he got 2 years ago while he was studying jewellery design in Surat.

The ring has made its place in the Guiness Book of World Records. He says, “My target was always over 10,000 diamonds.” The ring has 8 layers and each tiny petal is unique. Harshit has already knocked back requests from prospective buyers.

The first record that was also set in India was for a ring having 7,801 diamonds by a jeweller in Hyderabad. Harshit has very generously broken this record, and as this ring is priceless for him there is no question of selling it right now.

The 12,638 diamonds are approximately 38.08 carats. The work on this ring began in 2018 and was completed by February 2020.
