The first list of Haj Pilgrims under government quota for the year 2014 was compiled on Sunday at the State Secretariat in Jaipur. The names of first list Haj Pilgrims were selected through a lottery system, wherein 14 persons got their names picked up out of 600 applicants from Udaipur District.

The State government had restricted the quota of Haj Pilgrims from Udaipur District to 73 Pilgrims, of which 59 tickets were pre-allotted to applicants aging 70 or more.

When the District Collectorate office informed the 14 people of their selection in Haj Pilgrims list, most of them were overwhelmed with joy & happiness and thanked their lord.

The Haj Help Desk in Udaipur Collectorate office called up all the 14 Haj Pilgrims to Collectory Office on Sunday evening and greeted them for their selection. Pilgrims were garlanded and offered sweets.
