A tragic accident occurred on July 22 in Myanmar’s Mon state. Moe Sa Nay, a 14-year-old TikTok star, fell to her death while taking a selfie at the Sinywa waterfall in Paung. A few days after 27-year-old travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar tragically died while filming an Instagram reel in Maharashtra, this incident is also similar. 

Nay was with a friend, capturing photos when she slipped on rocks. The fast-moving water trapped her between two large boulders. Despite efforts by rescuers, she was unable to free herself and drowned in the strong current.

Rescue workers faced difficulties removing her body. They eventually used ropes to pull her from the rocks on July 23. Another girl who slipped onto the rocks was injured but survived.

Nay’s body was taken to Paung Township General Hospital for a postmortem.
