Udaipur is practicing its lockdown effectively and with sincerity. Apart from a few instances here and there due to need management, panic and rush of blood in some cases, the day has been more or less free of any incidents.

This practice of patience and resilience by the people of Udaipur is apparent in the statistics given by the Super Speciality Centre at MB Hospital, where the speciality Corona Ward has been setup.

Of the 16 samples tested in Udaipur, none were found to be positive or at any risk.  All 16 have been discharged from hospital, though there movement will be restricted and monitored by the Rapid Action team.

4 sample test results are still pending.  The 21 year old boy who returned from Nepal and the 30 year old belonging to Bhinder, who on returning from Dubai had complained of fever and weakness have been admitted to the ward and their sample results are pending.

The coupld from Pratapgarh, who were found to be positive cases of Coronavirus, are recovering, said Dr Dinesh Kharade, CMHO.  They have had no breathing problem in the last three days.

Of the 16 patients tested in Udaipur, 9 belonged to Sirohi, 3 each from Rajsamand and Pratapgarh (belongiing to Madhya Pradesh) and one was from Udaipur. All 16 will be under Home Quarantine for 14 days and then will be under surveillance for another 14 days.

Dr Dinesh Kharade, CMHO, alos informed that 269 suspect contacts are being monitored and another 297 cases are under surveillance.  He further informed that the CHC PHC health centers will operate between 9AM till 3PM to ensure that staff can be dedicated to the Coronavirus ward and the Child and Women specialty centers in MB Hospital will work from 9AM till 3PM like the OPD at Ambamata and Hiran Magri.  He informed that the OPD is witnessing less thant 50% of the regular patients with the ongoing lockdown.
