Udaipur witnessed 2 more incidents of fire. Friday evening 2 areas went up in flames due to growing heat.

Hills near Water Park behind Eklingarh cantonment went up in flames. The condition grew even worse due to wind blowing at great speed. Army became alert since the hills are right behind their campus. As per army officials fire was spotted on the hill behind Shikarbadi. This hill does not fall in the area of Eklingarh cantonment campus, but all army personnel and officers grew alert because of wind. They wanted to make sure that fire doesn’t spread in their campus. A number of army officers, administrative officers and officers from forest department reached the site. All possible measures went on until late hours to douse the fire.

Apart from this, fire was also witnessed in a huge hilly area in Rama village near the city. Reportedly a lot of vegetation got burnt to ashes. Fire was reported by a villager but no one reached to control the situation. Even forest department officials did not reach this site though sources say that forest department makes use of bamboo found in this forest.
