2 Injured in a Street Brawl
The city witnessed a violent street brawl near Ganghaur Ghat today in the morning at 11:00 between a couple of tourists and few unidentified youth over a petty issue. Two people have been injured while the attackers are still at large.
UPDATE: Five accused in the case viz. Javed s/o Bunna Hela, Irfan s/o Hasan Hela, Amir s/o Hasan Hela, Ishwar s/o Dinesh Mochi, Muzeeb s/o Subhan Hela, were arrested late in the afternoon today. All are residents of Helawari, near Ganghaur Ghat, Udaipur.

The injured Rahul and Rohit Soni, residents of Bhilwara have been in Udaipur for some days for attending a marriage.
According to police, today they both had gone out in the city for some work and while they were getting back to Chittora Bhawan, Naiyon Ki Talai where they have been staying, some boys speeding on bikes hit both the pedestrians.
An argument rose between the unknown youth who are believed to be locals and both Rahul and Rohit, which turned into a fight. The un-identified boys beat up the duo with metal rods and chains injuring both of them.
Rahul (22) and Rohit (23) are admitted to the Udaipur Hospital. The Gantaghar Police Station has started an investigation against the un-identified troublemakers.
Shankar Singh, Circle Inspector, Gantaghar Police Station informed that according to the FIR lodged by the victim’s family members, a gold chain one of the victims was wearing has been reported missing since the incident.
He added, “We have started rounding up the usual suspects of the area and we are also questioning the neighbors living nearby the place of the quarrel.”
