Pankaj is a salesman with Ekling Petrol Pump at Sukher. He collected the amount from the owner’s residence at Amabmata and headed to Kotak Mahindra Bank in Madhuban. The moment he stopped outside the bank, 2 men came on a bike from behind and threw chilli powder in his eyes. One of the men then tried to snatch the money bag from him. Pankaj grabbed the bag tightly and started shouting for help. The two robbers then fled from the scene without taking the bag. Police reached the spot immediately and Pankaj then deposited the amount, which was close to 20 lakh rupees, in the bank in their presence.

CCTV footages have been checked which show that the men were around 35 years of age. One of them wore helmet and the pillion rider had a scarf on his face. The bike’s number plate couldn’t be clearly seen on the footage. Both the robbers rushed towards PRO office and escaped by taking Fatehsagar route. Police is investigating the case.
