Ancient idol of Lord Vishnu is stolen from a temple of Varah (third avatar of Lord Vishnu) at Sisarma village of Udaipur today morning.
Early this morning when devotees, as usual opened the door of temple they didn’t found the main idol on its place.

Early this morning when devotees, as usual opened the door of temple they didn’t found the main idol on its place. Stunned by the incident they immediately informed the police.

  200-yr-old idol stolen from Sisrama Temple The shocking incident has annoyed devotees who expressed their rage against authorities. The idols were believed to be a few. Varah Avatar idols at the various varah temples in country; it weighed around 200 kg and made up of green marble. The idol was 3 ft in height and 2 ft wide. It was nearly 200 year old idol as per the villager’s statement. According to sources, a case of theft has been lodged against unknown people, because of the heaviness of idol; and it seems to be the work of a gang of 5-6 people.
