Patients suffer from non-functionality or a disease in particular organs, but the recent case at Pacific Medical College startled the doctors when a patient was admitted with the diagnosis that his major organs were dislocated from their original position.

Patients suffer from non-functionality or a disease in particular organs, but the recent case at Pacific Medical College startled the doctors when a patient was admitted with the diagnosis that his major organs were dislocated from their original position.

Head of Surgery Unit, Dr. K.C Vyas said that Kishanlal, 28 year old resident of Vinogda (Kumbhalgarh) had a hole in diaphragm due to which his stomach has shifted towards left side into the chest. The reason for this, he was facing difficulty in gulping food and fluids. Diagnosed for operation, he underwent Laparotomy after which it was found that his heart had dislocated towards right.

Not only this, his stomach went towards his chest and spleen shifted upwards. He had complaint of stomach and chest ache. After diagnosis, the problem came up front. This situation is called Diaphragmatic Hernia. The doctors operated the gastroesophageal junction necrosis after which the organs were placed in the right position.

The five hour long operation was successfully carried out by Dr. K.C Vyas, Dr. Gaurav vadhavan, Dr. B.M Soni, Dr. Prakash Audichya, Dr. Virendra, Dr. Anita, Dr. K.G, Ajay Chaudhary, Bindu and team. The highly expensive operation usually falling between Rs. 1.5-5 Lac was done free of cost under CSR of Pacific Medical College and Hospital.
