3 IAF planes crash : 1 in Rajasthan and 2 in Madhya Pradesh

An IAF court of inquiry will determine whether it was mid-air collision or not

Three aircrafts of the Indian Air Force crashed on Saturday, January 28, 2023. One crashed aircraft remains were discovered near Bharatpur's Nagla Dida, Rajasthan. According to a source, there is still no proof of the Pilot. The crash happened due to technical error. 

Meanwhile, a Sukhoi-30 and a Mirage-2000 crashed not far from Morena in Madhya Pradesh. According to SP Ashutosh Bagni, pilots have been located and sent to a hospital for treatment. 

SU-30 had two pilots while Mirage-2000 had one pilot. The Defence force said that the IAF court of inquiry will determine whether it was a mid-air collision or not.  Whether the plane remains in Bharatpur is connected to the crash near Morena is still to be determined. 

Morena additional superintendent of police Rai Singh Narwariya said, “An air force team is reaching the spot to confirm about the plane and number of people present in it. Police found a hand near the plane.” 

“Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh was briefed by the Chief of Air Staff on the crash of two aircraft of the Indian Air Force. Raksha Mantri enquired about the well-being of the IAF pilots and is monitoring the developments closely,” Defence sources said.
