A Jain family from Udaipur met with a fatal accident today at Bekariya thana area while on their way to the Nakoda Ji Temple.

Three people have been killed and two injured. The injured have been admitted at a private hospital in Udaipur.

At 5 am this morning the Karanpuria family including Abhay Karanpuria (42), his mother Kanchan karanpuria (70), wife Asha Karanpuria and two sons Puneet and Varshit were heading towards Nakoda ji in their car, when, a stray came into their way, in a bid to save the stray animal Mr. Karanpuria lost his control over the car, which eventually rammed into a rock.

The impact was so harsh that mr karanpuria and his son Puneet died at the spot, whereas Mrs. Kanchan Karanpuria succumbed to her injuries while being treated in the hospital. Mrs. Asha Karanpuria and Varshit karanpuria are being treated at a city hospital and have suffered deep fractures.

On hearing about the sad news a large number of community members and relatives gathered at M.B Hospital today waiting for the bodies of the deceased.

Abhay Karanpuria was the owner of Karanpuria Clothes a leading apparel shop at bapu bazaar.
