Saturday night of 3 September 2011 might be joyous for most of the Udaipurites as the city was about to witness the overflow at Fateh Sagar Lake but for one family it turned to be a nightmare of whole life.

A spunky looking motorcyclist while performing his so called stunts smashed his super fast bike into a family of three injuring all of them seriously and then fled away from there.

Mustan Jaipury, his wife Tabassum and their 6 yr old son Ali have received multiple fractures, stitches and mental harassment because of the enjoyment of one smart dude.

Mustan(37) has received multiple fractures in thigh bone and was admitted in a critical condition at Mewar Orthopedic Hospital, his wife Tabassum fell unconscious after being hurt on head with 4 stitches and their innocent son Ali was flinged to few meters due to strong crash and got hurt badly on stomach.

Ambamata Police has registered a complaint against an unknown biker for rash driving and hit-and-run. The story didn’t end here but indeed it started unmasking several issues, laws and rules made for people.

The physical pain is much lesser than the mental torture this family has received in the last few days. Tabassum ( in photo below) , a house wife told the whole story to UT on phone.

3 of family injured, Biker crashes over failed Stunt“It was around 11 to 11:15 pm and we were riding on our bike with a normal speed when a motorcyclist while performing ‘wheelie’ banged us at Fateh Sagar paal on September 3, Saturday.

That guy was stunting over the paal, leaving both his hands and wheeling several times, but nobody stopped him. Soon he started showing his skills on paal road and when we were off to our home, he came in fast speed from front side and suddenly wheelied his bike which banged us all.

The biker was riding a black splendor motorcycle with number RJ-27-8272 however; I am not sure about its series.

My husband’s legs were crunched in the accident while my son fell down at a distance, soon I fell unconscious and I opened my eyes in the emergency ward of MB Hospital where no one was looking at our miserable condition.

I saw one doctor busy reading his book but had no time to look after my son and husband, when we forced them to attend us they said, “We get into news every day, go and tell all newspapers.”

The blunt answer of hospital authority disappointed us and we called our relatives to take us to private hospital.

Later we were admitted in Mewar Hospital. I was informed that at accident spot few guys came to our help and police hawk vehicle dropped us to MB hospital.”

When asked now what she wants to say, Tabassum replied, “no compensation can surrogate the pain my family and I went through but I want that the person responsible for giving us so much pain should be punished in public.”

The big question that arises here is who is the main culprit? Government authorities and lawmakers? Or That biker? Or Hospital? Or Someone else?

Like Mustan and his family, there are number of other similar cases where people become victim to rash drivers in the city.

Where those social leaders are who campaign for strict traffic rules, no-vehicle zone at Paal and what about the authorities of M.B Hospital?

We don’t take a single minute in politicizing any matter then why do we take so much time just to think ‘help others or not?’

How many more innocent people will become victims of rash-driving to awake the sleeping authorities, nobody know the answer but somebody has to take the step against it.
