Yet another reason for delay in the execution?

The day of execution is close by and yet another move has been made by 3 of the convicts in Nirbhaya case. The convicts Akshay, Pavan and Vinay have moved the International Court of Justice, Hague,  for a stay on the execution terming it as "unlawful and flawed".

The petition filed by their lawyer AP Singh states that the 4 convicts have not yet exhausted all their legal remedies. He also added that it is unfortunate that the legal remedies are stil pending yet there are plans of hanging them on the 20th March.

As per the petition, the convicts have been treated as guinea pigs and also have been falsely implicated. ICJ has been urged to probe into the matter.

Going ahead, the retired Justice of Supreme Court said that ICJ gives its decision on the matters between 2 nations, hence this plea will be rejected. It may also be noted that the Supreme Court has rejected the plea of Mukesh regarding Vrinda Grover which states that Vrinda has been unfair to Mukesh in this case.
