The Transport and Road Safety Department of the Rajasthan Government has issued a new order, No. 21063, in line with Rule 50 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways notification number G.S.R 162 (E) dated December 4, 2018. This order requires all vehicles registered before April 2019 without High-Security Registration Plates (HSRPs) to install them, along with a third registration mark (Colour Coded Sticker).
The deadline for installing HSRPs is set for July 31, 2024. After this date, vehicles without HSRPs will face penalties under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
