Google removed 34 apps from its Play store on 3rd October that were infected with a malware. An advisory was issued by the tech giants to delete these 34 apps with immediate effect.
Google has been on a mission to clean up the malware targetted appsfrom the Play Store to make the Android phones safe for the customers. Till date around 600 apps have been removed by Google. In 2017, Google identified Bread aka Joker carrying out a billing fraud of massive scale via targeting the SMS. The malware targeted applications were cleaned from the Play Store since over the last few months as the threat is known to extend to android coding, which it modifies, eventually bypassing the play store’s security.
While the apps have been removed, Google has advised that the apps be manually unistalled to remove them from the device permanently. The 34 apps listed as removed by Google are as follows:
