There has been an increase in number of snake intrusions in human habitats with increasing humidity. In such humid conditions, snakes come out from wildlife seeking cool places for their shelter.

There has been an increase in number of snake intrusions in human habitats with increasing humidity. In such humid conditions, snakes come out from wildlife seeking cool places for their shelter.

Four such snake rescue cases have been reported today from Udaipur so far. In one case, snakes were found sitting inside an earthen water pot in Sukher area. This incident happened at Bhanawat Marbles in Sukher. When the labourers working their spotted the snake, they immediately rushed and informed the factory owner, Purbia. Purbia called Padam Singh Rathore of Wildlife and Street Animal Rescue Society (WSARS). Padam Singh and colleague Mayank immediately reached the spot and rescued the two snakes.

Padam Singh said that they also received information about snakes in a kitchen in Malla Talai, house in Rao ji ka Hata and at Hanuman Temple at Fateh sagar. Snake at Hanuman Temple, Fatehsagar was a Russell Viper.

Padam Singh urged that the current weather may see many more such instances of snakes coming out in open and hence people need to be a lot more careful.
