Intense contact tracing has been lauched in the area. The infected man flew in from Oman via Dubai and has been in touch with many people before being admitted to hospital

Family sent to separate isolation

Those in contact have been referred to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences’ hospital

10 Police Station areas in Parkot, Ramanj area in Jaipur are to be clamped under an indefinite curfew beinning 12AM on Saturday, 28 March.

Administration took immediate action and clamped a curfew in a one-km radius of the house of the infected man in Ramganj.

The 45 year old man, Mubarak, had met many people subsequent to his arrival from Oman.  He was admitted to hospital in Jaipur with influenza on 25 March. His samples were sent for testing when he showed symptoms of COVID-19.  He was shifted to the hospitals isolation ward today morning once his samples were found to be positive with Coronavirus.

His family, consisting of his wife and four children were sent to a separate isolation ward and their samples have been taken for testing as well. 25 people residing in the same buildin have also been sent under observation.  The Ramganj area, which is densely populated has been put under curfew for an indefinite period, after it was found that people in the area were ignoring the norms of lockdown. Intense contact tracing has been launched in the area.
