As the number of cases in Udaipur crossed the 800 mark today afternoon, the death of a 50 year old lady at ESIC Hospital in Udaipur takes up the total COVID deaths in the district to 6.

As per reports received from the CMHO Dr Dinesh Kharadi, the lady, aged 50, was a resident of Lakhara village in Sarada near Udaipur.

She was admitted to Hospital, Udaipur on 29 June, following complains of pain in the stomach.  She was diagnosed with acute Pancreatitis and intestinal obstructions.  As per the reports, the lady was a chronic alcoholic.

She succumbed at 6:45am today 8 July to her co-morbidities and also tested positive for COVID19.
