On Monday, March 18, 2024, a six-year-old tragically lost his life after being attacked by a pack of dogs around 7:00 am while walking to school in the Begun region of Chittorgarh district.
The incident took place on Monday morning in Parsoli village of Chittorgarh, as Ayush, on his way to school within the same village, fell victim. Prior to heading to school, Ayush had attended tuition around 6:00 am. It was during this journey that he encountered over 10 stray dogs, which viciously attacked him, leaving him with over 20 bites across his body, including his neck.
When Aketa Prajapat, a resident of the same village, was returning home from the river, she spotted Ayush and rushed to his rescue. She managed to move the dogs away and took Ayush to her house in his injured condition. Immediately, she informed Ayush's parents about the mishap. They hurriedly took him to the hospital, but sadly, the 6-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The dead body of the deceased boy was later moved to the Parsoli Community Health Center (CHC) where the postmortem was conducted and the body was handed over to his relatives.
Dr. Rajesh Gurjar from the CHC said that the young victim suffered brutal bites from the dogs, with over 20 on his body. However, the most severe injury was to his throat, which ultimately resulted in his tragic death.
