In Udaipur, officials from the district child protection committee have reported the successful rescue of over 60 child labourers. During a month-long campaign coordinated by Shailendra Pandya, a former member of the Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (RSCPCR), authorities registered 26 FIRs related to child labour exploitation.
The campaign's efforts led to the rescue of 14 children, including five girls who were being transported to Gujarat along with other child labourers. Shailendra Pandya emphasized the meticulous verification process conducted three times to confirm each child's status as a labourer before taking action against their employers.
The district's proactive measures underscore its commitment to combating child labour and ensuring the protection of vulnerable children in Udaipur.
