A new 60 feet road is expected to come up between Ayad Bridge and Subhashnagar. This road is expected to shorten the distance between Sevashram and Durga Nursery road by 1.5 kms and traffic would then become smoother. 

A 750 metre long 60 feet broad road is coming up which will begin from Lake City Mall area and go on till Subhash Nagar. A meeting of the trust took place on Tuesday after which it was made clear that the work will commence at the earliest and a 60 feet road will be constructed in this area. Shortening the distance between 2 major traffic areas, there are all the probabilities that there will be no more traffic jams here. 

The meeting that took place chaired by District Collector Anandi had discussion over the development works worth 827 lakh rupees. Demarcation works will attract a budget of approximately 43 thousand rupees. The traffic jams that normally take place during wedding seasons will get a permanent solution due to this 60 feet road. It will also make the route to the passport office extremely convenient.

It may be noted that the road was proposed in the year 2011 but the land owners did not give their approval for it as their properties were falling on this route and they were not willing to part away with their lands. Now that their approval has also been given, the work will commence at the earliest possible time.
