A general meeting of the Urban Development Trust was organized under the chairmanship of District Collector and UIT President Tarachand Meena. Trust Secretary Nitendrapal Singh presented the revised estimate for the financial year 2022-23 and the budget estimate for the year 2023-24 according to which, in the financial year 2023-24, a total amount of Rs. 633.45 crore was received and a provision of Rs. 632.80 crore was made and approved. Previously, in the year 2022-23, Rs. 392 crore was spent on development works.

In the meeting it was unanimously decided that the Master Plan-2031 for Udaipur city will be reviewed by Jaipur. Further, subsequent to the completion of the civil work under the Nehru Garden Island beautification project, the PPP draft bid document will be sent for recommendations to the Rajasthan Lake Development Authority for approval in the Zone 1B (controlled construction) area.

Along with this, the proposal to provide a place for 9D cinema from the point of view of tourism, entertainment near the Fish Aquarium located at Fateh Sagar Pal will be sent to the Rajasthan Lake Development Authority and Lake Conservation Committee through the District Lake Development for approval. 

It was decided to approve the proposal of an integrated township plan on 19.75 hectares in Vada. Recently, over 11.38 hectares of land was recovered by UIT after an anti-encroachment drive was conducted in the Kaladvas area by the trust. Similarly, it was decided to send the proposal of 48.21 hectares allotment of land in Debari village under the special scheme  to economically weak, middle income groups to the State government. Along with this, it was decided to approve the proposal of a residential cum commercial scheme on 3 hectares of land in Vada. 

Other Major Decisions:

In the meeting a proposal of Rs. 6.40 crore has been made in the budget of financial year 2023-24 for the cleaning , beautification and development of Fateh Sagar,  Udai Sagar lake and purchasing of the location for pre-wedding. Similarly, a provision of Rs. 15 crores has been decided for beautification of Fateh Sagar Lake peripheral area by installing heritage poles with lights. Along with this, a provision of Rs. 9 crore has been made in this financial year under the estimated expenditure of Rs. 15 crore for the beautification of Nehru Garden Island.

Government institutions will get land - Indira Gandhi Working Women Hostel, Food Safety and Drug Control Office, Gram Panchayat building in Manva kheda, Sub health center building in Eklingpura, Gram Panchayat for construction of community building in Zinc Smelter, Community building in Jharna ki Sarai. , Construction of community hall in Savina Kheda, construction of Anganwadi in Savina kheda, administrative and residential building for police station Bargaon, office building of Inspector General of Police Udaipur Range in Chitrakoot Nagar Yojana, land allotment for Government Ayurveda Dispensary, land allotment for Government Primary School-Nichalfla.  It was decided to allot free land for the playground of Government Secondary School Nayakheda, land for the playground of Government Secondary School Sisarma and Government Higher Secondary School Savina. 

Drains will be strengthened: Trust Secretary Nitendra Pal Singh said  that pre-built drains in major population areas, rainwater drainage drains during the rainy season will be marked and new drains and pre-built drains made every year by the Trust will be identified. In order to strengthen the damaged drains, a provision of Rs 11.15 crore has been kept by the trust for the construction of 6 drains mainly in the financial year 2023-24, so that the population of the area around these drains can be saved from the situation of water-flooding during the rainy season. 

Rs. 9.79 crores for the development of parks and tree plantation and various development works were done under UIT Scheme for protection and beautification of various ponds such as Badi Lake, Jharon ki Sarai Lake, Dhikli Lake, Rakampura Lake, Nela Lake and Jogi Lake located under the jurisdiction of the trust. A provision of Rs. 2 crore has been kept for the same.  under the  UIT scheme area and various development works were done under the protection and beautification of various ponds such as Badi Talab, Jharon ki Sarai Talab, Dhikli Talab, Rakampura Talab, Nela Talab and Jogi Talab located under the jurisdiction of the Trust. A provision of Rs 2 crore has been kept for the same.
