Naval hospital INHS Asvini bid a warm farewell to 98 year old war veteran Sepoy Ramu Laxman Sakpal as he recovered from COVID19 and co-morbid pneumonia.
Coronavirus or COVID19 has affected near 26 lakh people (reported) in India and nearly 50,000 have succumbed to the disease, which has been declared a pandemic.
As India celebrated its 74th Independence day, Sepoy Ramu Sakpal was discharged from INHS Asvini after his COVID and co-morbidity was succesfully managed at the Naval hospital and he recovered from COVID19.
His recovery exemplifies the endurance of the human body in times of adversity. INHS Asvini is the primary Naval healthcare centre in Mumbai and is managing the care of serving and retired patients from the Indian Navy, Indian Army, Indian Air Force and the Indian Coast Guard.
