9th Raj-UNNATI: Rajasthan CM Reviews Development Projects Worth Rs 15,000 Cr

UdaipurTimes, Sept 25, 2026 - Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has said that villages, the poor, youth, women and farmers are at the centre of the State Government’s development schemes and programmes extending from urban areas to villages and hamlets. Administrative officers should ensure effective implementation of these schemes and no negligence should be allowed in works related to roads, education, healthcare, water supply and electricity, CM Sharma said.

The Chief Minister was reviewing the progress of projects worth approximately Rs 15,000 crore, along with various schemes and programmes, at the 9th Raj-UNNATI meeting held at the CMO on Thursday, September 24.

Atal Pragati Paths

Reviewing the construction of Atal Pragati Paths in rural towns with a population of more than 5,000, the CM directed the Public Works Department to complete all remaining works of 2025-26 and ongoing works of the first phase of 2026-27 by November 2026.

Education

The Chief Minister informed that the State Government is investing around Rs 12,500 crore on improving the standard of education. A detailed technical survey of all 65,308 government schools across 41 districts has been conducted. The need for improvement has been identified in 3,587 dilapidated school buildings and around 71,078 classrooms, along with facilities such as electricity, drinking water and toilets.

In the last two years, the State Government has sanctioned 3,364 works for development of facilities in schools, on which Rs 1,220 crore has already been spent.

Reviewing the work to upgrade three engineering colleges in Bharatpur, Bikaner and Ajmer and develop them as Rajasthan Institutes of Technology (RITs), the CM informed that the government will spend around Rs 300 crore on establishing these RITs.

Reviewing the Pannadhay Bal Gopal Yojana, the Chief Minister directed that milk be provided regularly under the scheme to improve the nutritional status of students.

Atal Gyan Kendras

CM Sharma emphasised on the completion of the first phase of Atal Gyan Kendras at the earliest and issuance of approval soon for establishment of 2,000 Atal Gyan Kendras under the second phase.These centres will provide facilities such as libraries, e-libraries, e-Mitra and online services, as well as study facilities for preparation for competitive examinations.

VB-G RAM G Scheme

Reviewing employment generation and payments under the VB-G RAM G Scheme, CM Sharma told the Rural Development Department (RDD) to ensure that every needy eligible family is provided employment under the scheme. He said that generation of 3.29 crore person-days of employment from July till date is a major achievement under the scheme.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin

Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, the Chief Minister directed the RDD to achieve the target of providing houses to all eligible families by 2029 and allot land and houses on priority to landless families residing on forest land.

A total of 8,97,808 complaints were received from rural areas from January 1 to September 21, 2026, of which 8,68,425 complaints have been disposed of. Only 3.27 per cent of complaints remain pending.

Trauma Centres

CM Sharma directed the Medical Department to complete the works of the trauma centres at Kolana (Bandikui), Dalot (Pratapgarh), Desuri (Pali), RUHS (Jaipur) and Sanderav (Pali).

SMART Scheme

Under the Service Management with Artificial Intelligence and Real-Time System (SMART) Scheme, the CM told that 10 major schemes, including the Social Security Pension Scheme, Palanhar Scholarship, loans to Self-Help Groups, Lado Protsahan Yojana, Gargi Award and Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarojgar Yojana, be brought onto the SMART platform by December 10.

He also directed completion of the development works under the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee District Upliftment Scheme for 2025-26 and 2026-27 before December 15, 2026.
