Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched AirFibre Broadband Services at the BSNL District Headquarters at Court Chauraha in Udaipur today. This is being launched simultaneously with the roll out of Air Fibre services across Bihar, tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Haryana and Telangana. Devi Lal Mali, Director of Mewar Fibre Network said that this service will reduce the dependance on cables and will provide better Internet experience to the residents of Udaipur, specially the rural areas.
With the launch of AirFibre services, Internet penetration will increase across the district, and rural areas will also be able to derive benefit of these services. Mali said that many a times, the cable network can cause problems, with water penetration, cable mutilation resulting in disconnection of services and interim inconvenience. BSNL will offer wireless broadband up to 10Mbps upto a distance of 5Kms, as per Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
BSNL has launched many plans with the AirFibre network in addition to offers to re-connect old and disconnected telephone lines in the walled city.
