Chief Minister meets the family of deceased Kanhaiya Lal and assures swift justice

Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, met the family of Kanhaiya Lal, the deceased in the Udaipur (terror) murder case.  His visit to the family at Sector 14 in Hiran Magri, was followed by a visit to Ishwar Gaud at hospital. Ishwar worked with Kanhaiya Lal in his tailoring shop and was a key eye witness to the murder. He has been injured in the scuffle and is currently being treated at MB General Hospital, Udaipur.

In his meeting the grieving family of Kanhaiya Lal Sahu, the Chief Minister assured swift justice to the family by having the Courts take of the case proceedings on fast track. He also handed over a cheque of Rs 50 lakh to the family of the deceased, in the form of financial assistance. The CM also announced a government job to one of the son's of Kanhaiya Lal. The family was assured of high level security in the coming days.

After meeting the family of the deceased, the CM and his accompanying colleagues, viz. Ram Lal Jat, Raghuveer Singh Meena, Sajjan Katara, Preeti Shaktawat among others, went to meet Ishwar Gaud, who ws injured in the attack. Ishwar works at Kanhaiy Lal's tailoring shop and is also a key witness to the incident. He is currently being treated in the superspeciality cell at the General Hospital. The CM handed him a cheque of Rs 5 lakh as financial assistance. Ishwar has sustained injuries to his head and shoulders with the machette that was used to kill Kanhaiya Lal.  He has received 17 stitches.
